No traffic in Crouch End - A permanent situation ?
Since yesterday Crouch end has been without traffic between clock tower and crouch hill & Broadway.
A nice quiet peaceful atmosphere pervades the centre of crouch end as traffic noise/fumes are dispelled for a few days as a major water main is mended. Today i enjoyed simply standing in the middle of the road, a strange and uplifting experience with no threat of being killed by traffic.
It was then that it occured to me: Wouldn't it be lovely if it was like this all the time ?
